Below are some top WWE news stories of the day.

• Karrion Kross’ future with WWE is currently in question, as Fightful Select reported that the RAW Superstar is in the final year of his contract:

“We’ve heard his deal is currently set to expire in the Summer. We’ve not yet heard if he’s actively negotiating a new deal.”

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his contract, Kross’ recent performance has garnered positive feedback within WWE. “Those we’ve spoken to in WWE of late have been ecstatic with Kross’ ability to get himself over with social media and the angles he’s been in on RAW.”

Kross and his wife Scarlett, who were previously released by WWE in November 2021, were re-signed following Triple H’s rise to power in 2022. During his time away from WWE, Kross declined a one-off match offer from AEW. He also made appearances in MLW and NJPW, where he reportedly made positive impressions.

The coming months will determine whether Kross and WWE reach a new agreement, or if he explores other opportunities in professional wrestling.

• Karrion Kross recently made his first WWE in-ring appearance of 2025 on WWE Main Event, and it came with a notable callback to his past.

According to Fightful Select, Kross utilized his previous entrance theme song for this match, featuring vocals performed by Scarlett, a move that stirred up nostalgia among long-time fans.

This appearance followed a busy period for Kross, who had traveled back to the United States to participate in the Future Stars of Wrestling (FSW) Chris Bey benefit show, where he defeated Hammerstone.

After his appearance at the FSW show, he then traveled back to the UK, where he then appeared on WWE Main Event. He defeated Akira Tozawa.

Prior to this, his last televised WWE match took place on the December 9, 2024 episode of RAW, where The Final Testament and The Miz defeated The Wyatt Sicks.

Kross will now face J.R. Kratos at Josh Barnett’s: Bloodsport XIII on April 17 during WrestleMania 41 week.
