Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day.
• WWE Is Planning A Big Launch Later This Year
NXT Europe could finally become a reality after years of delays. According to PWInsider, WWE has been discussing internal plans to launch the brand later this year. The report comes after recent tryouts at the UK Performance Center, which featured talent from all over Europe.
WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H recently confirmed the project is still active. Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said, “It is,” when asked if NXT Europe is happening. “I’m still a big believer that the UK was going to work. The product was there, the interest level was there—the pandemic squashed it.”
Triple H also explained that the focus is on developing talent properly, not just expanding globally. “It’s as if you have an instrument but no one is teaching you how to play it and you’re just trying to start a band,” he said. “But if you have somebody teaching you, showing you the ropes… it makes it so much easier. That’s what this is about.”
Fans have been waiting for movement since NXT UK was shut down in 2022. With these latest updates, it looks like NXT Europe could finally launch before the end of the year.
