On this day in Pro Wrestling history on October 5, 1985, the World Wrestling Federation aired ‘WWF Saturday Night’s Main Event 2’ on NBC.

The entire event was originally taped on October 3, 1985 at the Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

• WWE Issues Statement Regarding Jeff Hardy’s Arrest

According to PWInsider, former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy was arrested on Thursday evening in Moore County, North Carolina.

Hardy was charged with Driving While Impaired.

Hardy was then released from custody at around 11:30 EST on Thursday night. Moore County police didn’t provide additional details as the investigation is still going on.

WWE issued the following statement regarding Jeff’s arrest:

“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.”

This isn’t the first time Hardy got arrested this year. Hardy was arrested for public intoxication and impairment in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina earlier this year in July.

Jeff Hardy is currently out of action from WWE due to a knee injury. He underwent surgery back in May.
