During a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, current WWE main eventer Cody Rhodes spoke about his brother, WWF Legend Goldust, who is currently wrestling for Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling as ‘The Natural’ Dustin Rhodes.
Dustin made his official debut on September 13th 1988 for the NWA Championship Wrestling From Florida (CWF) promotion.
He later had several stints for the World Wrestling Federation (1990-1991, 1995-1999, later WWE 2002-2003, 2005-2006 & 2009-2019), Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (1991-1995 & 1999-2001) and even Total Nonstop Action! (TNA, 2004-2005 & 2007-2008), before he signed with AEW in 2019.
Cody also spoke about a potential Hall of Fame induction for his brother, based on an obviously Hall of Fame worthy career.
Here’s what The American Nightmare had to say about Dustin:
“I have never ever heard ‘Hall of Famer’ before. That would blow my mind. We have to get old chicken in that Hall of Fame first though. My brother.
We have to get chicken in there. He’s just out there still hitting the ropes where you can hear the ‘ding’, he’s hitting them so hard. We have to get him in there.”
WWE is highly unlikely to ever induct a member of the AEW full-time roster, so an induction of Goldust isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
