– Samoa Joe Promo: Joe notes that Shinsuke Nakamura will be out for 6-12 weeks and he wants Nakamura to vacate the Title.
– Austin Aries def. Oney Lorcan
– Billie Kay def. Aliyah
– Cedric Alexander def. Andrade “Cien” Almas
September 28th Episode of NXT TV:
– William Regal announces the return of Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
– Tye Dillinger def. Angelo Dawkins
– Booby Roode comes out after Tye’s match and asks him to be his tag team partner in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2016. Tye accepts.
– Samoa Joe destroys The Early Brothers.
– Ember Moon def. Mandy Rose
– The Authors of Pain def. Local Competitors. Paul Ellering cuts a promo after the match and says pain is coming and that’s all they need to know.
– NXT Women’s Champion Asuka def. Liv Morgan. Asuka is interviewed after her quick match and says no one in NXT is ready for her.
– Hideo Itami def. Lince Dorado. Aries attacks Itami after the match but retreats when Itami fights back.
October 5th Episode of NXT TV:
– The Authors of Pain def. The Bollywood Boyz (1st round match of Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2016)
– Rich Swann def. Patrick Clark
– Peyton Royce def. Danielle Kamella
– Samoa Joe destroys Dan Matha
– NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival def. Cedric Alexander and Andrade “Cien” Almas (1st round match of Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2016)
– Andrade turns heel after the match and attacks Cedric.
October 12th Episode of NXT TV:
– SAnitY def. Booby Rodde & Tye Dillinger (1st round match of Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2016): Roode walked out on Tye during the match.
– Billie Kay def. Liv Morgan
– TM-61 def. Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss (1st round match of Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2016)
– Blake vs. Murphy ends in a No-Contest: Samoe Joe attacks both men and says it’s time for Regal to do something about Nakamura & the NXT Championship. Nakamura comes out in a neck brace and then takes it off and attacks Joe. Both men brawl. Nakamura ended the tapings by delivering a Kinshasa to Joe.
