WWE NXT Results
– Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Cody Rhodes kicked off the show and said he has some announcements. Men will also have a Breakout Tournament in NXT. Also, the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is coming back. Cody then announced that Shawn Michaels has made him the General Manager for NXT for tonight’s show.
NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov then came out and fans chanted “Happy Birthday”. Dragunov praised Cody’s passion. NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio and Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley came out. Dirty Dom said Ilja doesn’t compare to him.
Dominik challenged Ilja for the NXT Championship. Ilja accepted the challenge and said he’s gonna smash Rhea’s boy. Cody made the match official. Cody then made LA Knight the Special Guest Referee for this match.
– Shotzi announced on commentary that she, along with Scarlett, will host Night 1 of NXT Halloween Havoc on October 24.
– Asuka def. Roxanne Perez
Shotzi attacked Kiana James after the match.
– Butch, Ridge Holland & Tyler Bate def. Gallus in a Pub Fight
– John Cena came out to a huge ovation. Fans chanted “Thank You Cena”. Cena put over the NXT atmosphere. Cena said he respects Carmelo Hayes because they share the same values. Bron Breakker then came out. Fans sing “Bron Breakker Sucks”. Cena said he has heard this song, but it feels good with the change in lyrics. Breakker said the fans didn’t come here to see Cena, they came here to see him.
Cena said he’s excited for Breakker’s match and wants to respectfully wish him good luck. Cena offered a handshake, but Breakker punched him. Breakker went for the Spear, but Cena countered and picked him up for the Attitude Adjustment, but Breakker managed to escape.
AEW Dynamite Results
– Eddie Kingston (c) def. Minoru Suzuki to retain the ROH World Championship & NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship on the Buy-In pre-show
– Jon Moxley has not been cleared yet. It will now be Rey Fenix defending the AEW International Championship against Orange Cassidy.
– TNT Champion Christian Cage kicked off the show and declared that he got the first 30 minutes of Dynamite to be commercial free.
– Bryan Danielson def. Swerve Strickland to become the #1 Contender for the TNT Championship
Danielson will face Christian Cage for the TNT Title this coming Saturday on Collision.
– Powerhouse Hobbs (with Don Callis) def. Chris Jericho
Hobbs attacked Jericho after the match and absolutely destroyed the WWF Legend.
– Orange Cassidy def. Rey Fenix (c) to win the AEW International Championship
