• WWE Officials Believe CM Punk Wants To Wrestle For Them Because Of Money

According to PWInsider, multiple sources have confirmed to them that former WWE Champion CM Punk was at FOX Studios this week in LA for a meeting regarding having an on-air role on the “WWE Backstage” show on FS1 (which will on Tuesday nights).

Renee Young (who is the co-host of this show) was there to run some tests with Punk, but it is not known at the moment if Punk has signed a contract to appear on this show.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that people in WWE believe Punk wants to wrestle for them because of the amount of money he can make with WWE now:

“There’s definitely people in WWE who know the situation who believe that he wants to wrestle there. I heard that ever since Starrcast, just the idea is that his goal is he figures the amount of money that right now is in WWE, that he can get a great, great money deal.”

For those who don’t know, Punk had to spend almost a million dollars during his lawsuit against WWE doctor Chris Amann.
