According to latest reports, Rey Mysterio is reportedly going to be the new face of AAA & Lucha Underground as the officials there are hoping that Mysterio’s popularity with the Mexican-American community would help both the promotions get a better presence on TV.
Beginning with Lucha Underground’s next set of TV tapings from March 21st, Rey Mysterio is expected to be pushed heavily on their programming.
WWE officials tried to ruin Mysterio’s popularity as they thought keeping Rey off WWE TV for several months would affect his drawing power and it would mean less when he debuts for a new promotion.
