LA Knight has been the biggest babyface in pro wrestling this year and fans have been calling for his push throughout the summer, which seems to be in its early stage right now.

Earlier this month on an episode of SmackDown, Knight had an interaction with the Special Counsel of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman.

He also mentioned in his promo that he may come after The Tribal Chief while talking about wanting to win championship gold.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE is preparing Knight for a title shot against Reigns in the “not too distant future.”

Fightful reported last week that Knight was set to be a part of the contract signing segment for Fastlane between John Cena/AJ Styles and Jimmy Uso/Solo Sikoa, but was pulled from the show due to a positive test for COVID-19.

He was reportedly booked to make the save for Cena after Jimmy and Solo were beating him up.

It seems like Knight will get more involved with The Bloodline in the coming days.

PWInsider reported on Thursday that Knight has been cleared to return, and will likely be a part of tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

Reigns’ next PLE opponent is rumored to be AJ Styles, at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 4th.
