As we noted before, The Dirty Sheets reported that WWE is now planning to do John Cena vs. Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 35.

McIntyre was originally scheduled to face Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 35, but with him facing Cena now, plan for Strowman has been changed.

Dirty Sheets is reporting that Triple H vs. Braun Strowman is now scheduled to take place at WrestleMania 35. This is despite the fact that WWE teased Triple H vs. Batista at SmackDown 1000 and Batista even verbally agreeing to return for one more run in WWE.

WWE originally teased HHH vs. Strowman back in late 2017, where Strowman laid out Triple H at Survivor Series 2017.

It looks like WWE even planted seeds for this Strowman – HHH WrestleMania 35 match by having Strowman destroy Vince McMahon’s limo and then Vince cancelling Strowman’s Universal Title opportunity at Royal Rumble 2019.

With that being said, word going on is that Batista’s return for a final match is likely to be saved for 2020 (WrestleMania 36).
