• WWE Producers Will Have A Rough Night On Tonight’s RAW

According to PWInsider, tonight’s episode of RAW will be re-written due to multiple wrestlers testing positive for COVID-19.

Some other wrestlers, who didn’t test positive, were also told to stay home as they might have come in contact with COVID-19 positive wrestlers and could’ve been exposed to the virus.

WWE Producers were reportedly hit hard with the virus, and some of them will not be working tonight.

There are like 12 backstage producers for RAW usually, but tonight there are going to be 6, so it’s going to get hectic for the producers, especially when the RAW script could have multiple re-writes.

WWE could’ve brought in some other producers for RAW, but there’s a SmackDown Live Event taking place tonight, so some producers are needed over there as well.

WWE advertised the following for tonight’s RAW:

– AJ Styles vs. Omos

– Damian Priest (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler for the United States Championship

– The Mysterios (Dominik & Rey Mysterio) vs. The Street Profits – Winners will face RK-BRO for the RAW Tag Team Championship at the WWE Day 1 PPV

– RAW Tag Team Champion Randy Orton vs. Otis

– Finn Balor vs. Austin Theory

– The Miz and Maryse will renew their wedding vows in the ring

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (December 27, 1994) – WCW Starrcade 1994

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on December 27, 1994, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired their annual ‘Starrcade’ event LIVE on PPV from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

This marks the first ever Starrcade after Hulk Hogan had joined WCW. Most fans don’t know this, but Hulk Hogan was originally booked to wrestle on the inaugural Starrcade in 1983, where he was supposed to team up with Wahoo McDaniel to take on the team of Dick Slater & “Cowboy” Bob Orton Jr, but the Hulkster ended up signing with the World Wrestling Federation and was replaced with Mark Youngblood.

In the main event of this pay-per-view, Hogan defended the WCW World Title against his long time friend (who turned on him shortly before the PPV), Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, now calling himself The Butcher.

Below are the results:

– WCW United States Heavyweight Championship: Vader defeated Jim Duggan (c)

– Alex Wright defeated Jean-Paul Levesque

– WCW World Television Championship: Johnny B. Badd (c) defeated Arn Anderson

– The Nasty Boys defeated Harlem Heat by DQ

– Mr. T defeated Kevin Sullivan

– Sting defeated Avalanche by DQ

– WCW World Heavyweight Championship: Hulk Hogan (c) defeated The Butcher
