• WWE Protecting Bobby Lashley For A Major Match
As seen in the first match of WrestleMania 37, Bobby Lashley continued his dominant run when he made Drew McIntyre pass out to the Hurt Lock and retain the WWE Championship.
This was a shocker, as everyone thought Lashley’s reign as WWE Champion was going to come to an end at the Show of Shows, where McIntyre was originally scheduled to get his big WrestleMania moment in front of fans.
According to PWTorch, McIntyre’s loss at the Grandest Stage Of Them All doesn’t mean that WWE officials have lost confidence in him.
It’s just that WWE is building Lashley up as an unstoppable force for the ultimate showdown against Brock Lesnar somewhere down the line.
As we noted before, fans will be allowed in attendance at SummerSlam 2021 in August, and one can only hope that we get Lesnar’s return soon, so that WWE can book Lashley vs. Lesnar at the biggest event of the summer.
Speaking of Lashley, he’s going to defend the WWE Championship against McIntyre once again at the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view on May 16th.
