6. Possible Indication That Kurt Angle Might Be Returning In The Royal Rumble 2017 Match
WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017 inductee Kurt Angle has been pulled this Friday’s 5 Star Wrestling promotion’s show.
Below is the announcement from the promoter:
“At 16:04 today I received a call from Kurt Angle’s management team confirming the rumors that Kurt will not be commentating on the debut episode of Dominant Wrestling, which airs live on Spike TV at 8pm this Saturday, from the Dundee Ice Arena. It’s a shame but we would like to congratulate Kurt on his Hall of Fame appointment.
Losing a star as respected as Kurt is obviously a blow to us but fortunately he was booked as a commentator rather than a wrestler so it’s not like this will make much of a difference to this historic event.”
While it could be possible that WWE doesn’t want Angle to appear at non-WWE events now (since he’s under contract now), there’s a possibility that they want Angle in the country if they want to use him at Royal Rumble 2017 (5 Star Wrestling’s event is in Scotland).
