• Old School WWF Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 56th birthday of Old School WWF Legend Earthquake (Real name: John Tenta).

The former Sumo wrestling Champion joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1989 as “The Canadian Earthquake”, which was later shortened to just “Earthquake”.

In 1991, he formed a Tag Team called “The Natural Disasters” with Tugboat, who became known as Typhoon, and together they won the WWF World Tag Team Championship.

By 1994, he had left the Federation and joined Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling, where he became known as “Avalanche”, then “Shark” and later under his real name, John Tenta.

Tenta had one last run for the WWF in 1998 & 1999 as the masked “Golga”, but later returned for one night at WrestleMania X-Seven, where he entered the famous Gimmick Battle Royal.

Earthquake getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is actually only a matter of when, not if.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY & † REST IN PEACE!

• WWE Reportedly Considering Hosting A WrestleMania In London

Wrestling fans have wanted WWE to host a major PPV in the UK for a while now and it looks like that might happen in the coming years.

According to Slice Wrestling, WWE officials are considering hosting a WrestleMania PPV in London in the future.

While WWE has thought about doing this for a while, the recent success of NXT UK played a factor in them thinking more about moving forward in this direction.

Also, WWE recently sent out a fan poll to people who have previously attended WrestleMania and asked them where they would like to see WrestleMania next. It should be noted that London was an option in this poll.
