We are saddened to report that former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt has passed away at the age of 36.

Below is what Triple H tweeted:

“Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today.

Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.”

Wyatt returned to WWE last year at Extreme Rules 2022 and only had one televised match, which was at the Royal Rumble earlier this year, where he defeated LA Knight in a Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match.

He was written off television due to an illness in late February. He was scheduled to face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39, which got canceled.

Earlier this month, Fightful Select reported that the illness Wyatt was dealing with was both career and life threatening.

In an update from Fightful (they were given permission by the family to release this information), Wyatt caught COVID-19 earlier this year, which exacerbated heart issues for him. There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery.

Unfortunately, he suffered a heart attack earlier today and passed away.

WWE has announced that all net proceeds from Bray Wyatt’s merchandise sales will go to his children and his fiancee JoJo Offerman.

Below is their statement:

“In the wake of Bray Wyatt’s death, WWE will donate all net proceeds to support JoJo Offerman and his children.”

If you want to support Wyatt’s family in this difficult time, buying his merchandise from the WWE Shop is the best way to do so.
