• WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Veteran Retires

50-Year-Old WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Veteran Mike Bucci has retired from in-ring competition.

Bucci first made a name for himself in professional wrestling when he wrestled for Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling from 1996 until the company was sold to Vince McMahon in early 2001.

He wrestled there as Super Nova, but is probably most famous for being a member of The Blue World Order (bWo), a parody of WCW’s nWo, where he performed under the name Hollywood Nova.

The younger fans out there certainly remember him from his 2004-2006 WWE run as fitness-expert Simon Dean, who tried to (kayfabe wise) shill his so called ‘Simon System’, a diet supplement for athletes.

Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder in WWE) went to Instagram to confirm that he was part of Bucci’s final match at the ‘SAW Contest Of Champions: Where Heroes Gather’ independent show on December 3rd.

Aron Stevens (fka Damien Sandow), Frankie Kazarian & Nova (fka Simon Dean) defeated Brian Myers (fka Curt Hawkins), Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder) & Pat Buck at this event.

Cardona posted the following:

“Honored to have been asked to wrestle in Mike Bucci/Nova/Simon Dean’s last match!”
