On this day in 1990, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘NWA World Wide Wrestling’.

• WWE Shareholders File Lawsuit Against WWE, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon & Triple H

Another lawsuit has been filed against Vince McMahon and his company, this time by the shareholders themselves.

Ryan Merholz and Melvyn Klein filed a lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Paul Levesque, Frank Riddick III, Stuart Goldfarb, Laureen Ong, Robyn Peterson, Man Jit Singh, Jeffery Speed, Alan Wexler, and George Barrios.

It was filed on April 24th, claiming that the top executives of the company acted without taking in regard, the best interest of shareholders.

Merholz and Klein stated in the filing that WWE wasted corporate assets, made false statements, failed to disclose adverse facts, misled the investing public, permitted senior executives of WWE to sell more than $282 million worth of their personally held shares of company stock at inflated prices, and more.

It also mentioned WWE’s issues with Saudi Arabia.
