• WWE Star Confirms He Was In Talks With AEW Before Returning
Karrion Kross returned to WWE on the post-SummerSlam 2022 episode of SmackDown, along with his real-life wife and on-screen valet Scarlett.
He has been involved in a feud with Drew McIntyre since then. He defeated The Scottish Warrior in a Strap Match at Extreme Rules, after Scarlett interfered.
Now, they will collide in a rematch at Crown Jewel, which will take place inside a Steel Cage.
During an interview with Mirror, Kross confirmed that he was in talks with AEW before signing with WWE:
“There was an idea that was proposed to me to come and do something there [at AEW].
But it was just so abundantly clear to me from dealing with fans face to face, that a WWE return was what people wanted to see.”
For those who don’t know, All Elite Wrestling wanted Kross was to face Wardlow in one of MJF’s challenges earlier this year.
Kross then learned that Scarlett wouldn’t be a part of this, so the two sides couldn’t reach a deal.
