Below are a couple of important WWE news stories of the day:

– The Judgment Day has been an important part of WWE programming this year. Most of the episodes of RAW this summer have revolved around the group and featured them in the main event.

Over the past few months, WWE has shown some major developments in the Judgment Day storyline. There have been increasing tensions between Finn Balor and Mr. Money In The Bank Damian Priest since Priest won the MITB contract.

Priest mistakenly cost Balor his World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins at Money In The Bank and then at SummerSlam.

He also played a role in Balor’s loss to Cody Rhodes on this week’s episode of RAW.

According to the Wrestling Observer, the long term plan is for Priest to be out of The Judgment Day. It’s unknown if the group will turn on him or he will leave them himself.

WWE introduced JD McDonagh in the Judgment Day storyline on this week’s RAW, who will likely replace Priest in the future.

– WrestleMania 40 tickets went on sale on Friday morning and WWE has already smashed all their records.

Darren Rovell reported the following about WWE’s biggest show of 2024:

“JUST IN: WrestleMania 40 went on sale today and has already broken WWE’s all-time gate record ($21.5 Million at WrestleMania 39 in LA).

More than 90,000 tickets sold so far to the two-day event at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in April 2024.”

Michael Cole confirmed this on last night’s SmackDown.

This comes after the upcoming AEW All In 2023 PPV at Wembley Stadium surpassed WWE WrestleMania 32’s paid attendance record of 80,709 (total attendance: 101,763, which included ushers and ticket takers).
