Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day.

• On last week’s SmackDown, Austin Theory vs. Carmelo Hayes ended due to Referee Stoppage after a scary spot where both men landed on their heads.

WWE later announced that Austin and Carmelo suffered face contusions, and both will be okay.

Carmelo returned to action on this week’s NXT, where he competed with Trick Williams in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

On the other hand, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Theory suffered a concussion and will be out of action until he’s medically cleared.

• In the main event of this week’s RAW, Seth Rollins defeated Jinder Mahal (who was accompanied by Veer & Sanga of Indus Sher) to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

According to Sean Ross Sapp, Rollins sustained a torn MCL and a partially torn meniscus during this match.

Earlier today, WrestleVotes reported the following:

“I’m told the plan of as now is for Seth Rollins to address his health & future as World Heavyweight Champion this Monday night on RAW.”

Seth has been pulled from this weekend’s Live Events.
