As seen on last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler made his return to WWE programming and he noted that he’ll be debuting kind of a new gimmick/look on next week’s episode.
Then on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Ziggler noted that he didn’t debut his new look this week because they’re in Little Rock and the fans can expect nothing from him here. According to reports, Ziggler will be feuding with the former NXT Champion Bobby Roode next and he’ll be used to put Roode over, similar to how the WWE officials used him to put Shinsuke Nakamura over earlier this year.
There have also been talks of Ziggler leaving WWE in October when his contract comes to an end and him wanting to explore opportunities in New Japan Pro Wrestling and on the indy scene (similar to what former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes did, who is the ROH World Champion now) to help revive his career because he hasn’t done anything noteworthy in WWE for a while now.
