WWE SummerSlam 2020’s Location Confirmed

• WWE SummerSlam 2020’s Location Confirmed

WWE confirmed last month that this year’s SummerSlam will no longer be taking place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

We noted earlier that there won’t be any fans at the event, but it’s confirmed that it has been moved outside the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

It’s now being reported by eWrestlingNews that WWE is planning to hold SummerSlam at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

The company’s production trucks are scheduled to arrive on Friday to begin setting things up. All personnel at the arena will be going through COVID-19 testing before unloading the equipment. The load-in is scheduled to begin on Friday and will run until Tuesday or Wednesday.

There is no word on if NXT TakeOver XXX or the post-SummerSlam RAW/SmackDown TV tapings will take place from the same arena but it’s more than possible.

WWE still has to make an official announcement about SummerSlam’s location.

• Old School WWF Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF Tag Team Veteran “Jumpin” Jim Brunzell celebrates his 71st birthday today.

Brunzell started in the AWA, where he formed a tag team called ‘The High Flyers’ with the promoter’s son, Greg Gagne.

Between 1985 and 1988, he teamed with B. Brian Blair as ‘The Killer Bees’ on WWF TV, before being used as a singles wrestler from 1988 till he left the World Wrestling Federation in 1993.

The Killer Bees are still considered one of the most underrated Tag Teams of all time.
