• WWE Tag Team Hasn’t Split Up

During the latest episode of SmackDown, Kit Wilson made his entrance with new music and solo titantron graphics before facing Carmelo Hayes in singles action. The commentary team also made a notable reference to Pretty Deadly’s signature “Yes Boy” catchphrase, with Corey Graves calling it “old stuff,” which many took as a sign that the Tag Team had officially split.

The moment came months after Elton Prince suffered an injury during a match against Fraxiom on SmackDown, leaving Wilson to compete on his own since then. With Wilson now appearing solo on television, there was speculation that the duo had gone their separate ways after five years together.

However, Wilson took to social media to clarify that Pretty Deadly has not broken up. Here’s what he wrote in response to a fan asking about the team’s status:

“I’ll never break up with that man.”

• AEW Legend Doesn’t Want To Return To WWE Because He Was “Underpaid & Underappreciated”

Dustin Rhodes, best known to WWF/E fans as Goldust, spent over two decades across multiple stints with the company before leaving in 2019 to join AEW, where he’s been a key part of the roster since its launch.

A few days back, Rhodes shared on X that he misses his brother Cody Rhodes, who currently serves as the Undisputed WWE Champion. In response, one fan suggested that now that Vince McMahon is gone, Goldust should return to WWE for one more run.

The former TNT Champion quickly shut down the idea, replying:

“Nope. Why? So I can sit the bench and be miserable? Been under paid and under appreciated there. AEW makes me happy and don’t get me wrong, Goldust was one of the funnest characters to play there.”

• “We finally got the main event everyone begged for, and the fans ruined it” – Dolph Ziggler On Extreme Rules 2018

During an interview on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, Dolph Ziggler reflected on his 30-minute Iron Man match with Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship, which main evented the Extreme Rules 2018 PPV / PLE – a bout remembered for the crowd repeatedly counting down every minute.

Ziggler said the match was a rare chance for two workhorses to main event a pay-per-view without Roman Reigns involved, something fans had long asked for. But when it finally happened, the audience sabotaged the atmosphere with constant countdown chants.

He explained that WWE removed the on-screen timer to stop it, which only made things worse as fans began counting every 10 seconds instead. “We finally got the main event everyone begged for, and the fans ruined it,” he said.

Ziggler admitted the chants threw off his and Rollins’ rhythm mid-match, calling it one of his most frustrating nights in WWE. Ironically, he said the chaos gave Vince McMahon an excuse to dismiss the idea of mid-carders main eventing again – reinforcing Vince’s belief that fans didn’t know what they wanted.

Dolph defeated Seth 5-4 in sudden death overtime to retain the Intercontinental Championship in this 30-minute Iron Man Match.
