Today would have been the 58th birthday of “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert (Real name: Thomas Gilbert Jr.).

Eddie wrestled for all the major big promotions during his career, including the World Wrestling Federation, Jim Crockett Promotions, World Championship Wrestling, Mid-South/UWF, ECW, USWA, GWF, …

He was married to famous wrestling valet Missy Hyatt from 1987 till 1989 and then married Madusa (later known as Alundra Blayze) in 1992.

In 1995, we lost Eddie due to a heart attack.

• WWE Title Match & Brock Lesnar Confirmed For SmackDown’s 20th Anniversary

WWE will debut on FOX on October 4th with SmackDown’s 20th anniversary show and they have already announced the list of legends that’ll be making an appearance.

Below are the legends that are confirmed for the show:

– Hulk Hogan

– Goldberg

– Sting

– Ric Flair

– Kurt Angle

– Lita

– Mick Foley

– Booker T

– Trish Stratus

– Jerry “The King” Lawler

– Mark Henry

While not confirmed in WWE’s announcement, The Undertaker is featured on the official graphic for this show, so he’s expected to appear as well.

STAPLES Center has now confirmed that former Universal Champion “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar will also appear on the show and Kofi Kingston will defend the WWE Championship in a triple threat match against Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler.
