On an episode of WWE NXT in November 2022, R-Truth faced Grayson Waller.
During this match, the 51-year-old veteran wrestler went for an over-the-top-rope dive and landed hard on the floor, which resulted in him getting hurt and being helped to the back.

R-Truth tore his quad and underwent surgery to repair it.
Some sources reported that R-Truth will miss the most of 2023. However, he recently told a fan that he’d return to WWE TV “soon”.
In an update from PWInsider, R-Truth was spotted in Birmingham, Alabama earlier this week.
Word going on is that he was there to get checked by the Doctors and get a date for his in-ring return. This is the place where all the injured WWE stars go to get checked.
His return got delayed by an infection that required a new surgery a few months back.
R-Truth made his WWF debut on an episode of RAW IS WAR on November 13th 2000. He was known as K-Kwik back then. He was released from the company in 2002.
He then went to TNA and became the NWA World Heavyweight Champion over there.
He returned to WWE in 2008 and became R-Truth, and has stayed with the company since then.
