• WWE Was Forced To Change The Finish For Recent Brock Lesnar Match
As seen on this week’s episode of RAW, Brock Lesnar vs. Omos was made official for WrestleMania 39.
At one point, the following names were rumored to face Lesnar at WrestleMania 39:
– Gunther
– Bobby Lashley
– Bray Wyatt
Many fans are upset about Lesnar facing Omos, as they think this would be an appropriate match for an event like Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, and not the biggest show of the year.
According to WrestleVotes, this match was booked by none other than Vince McMahon.
According to Fightful Select, Lesnar was pitched a match against Wyatt and he rejected it:
“We’re not sure necessarily when Bray Wyatt was pitched as a possible opponent for WrestleMania, but he was mentioning it as recently as right before WWE Elimination Chamber.
Sources familiar with the situation claim that Brock himself nixed the idea, though we weren’t given specifics as to why.”
Due to this, WWE was forced to change the finish of Lesnar vs. Lashley at Elimination Chamber, as Lesnar was originally scheduled to win and Wyatt announced on SmackDown that he’s coming after the winner of this match.
Here’s what the Wrestling Observer reported:
“Originally, what was going to happen was Brock was beating Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber. That was going to lead to Bray Wyatt vs. Brock Lesnar, which is why they did that interview, but once they did that, they had to change the finish.”
