• WWE Was Forced To Postpone Huge Push For Debuting Megastar
Over the years, many athletes who competed in the Summer Olympic Games joined the World Wrestling Federation / WWE, including Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, Ken Patera, Bad News Brown, Chad Gable and Gable Steveson.
The latter was supposed to have his very first professional wrestling match for WWE last year, but as we all know, that did not end up happening.
The Wrestling Observer has now revealed the reason behind the decision to hold back Gable Steveson’s debut for so long:
“Gable Steveson, who has yet to debut for WWE when the original plans were for him to debut with a monster push on RAW starting at the 2022 WrestleMania, is now talking about going back to amateur wrestling and trying to win a Gold Medal at the 2024 Olympics.”
If he wins another Gold Medal in 2024, that would make Steveson the first ever 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist in WWE history.
