• WWE Worried About Edge Possibly Signing With AEW

As we noted before, Fight Oracle reported that WWE Hall of Famer Edge has been cleared by the doctors to make a return to in-ring action and he’s expected to make a comeback soon.

However, it looks like that’s not the case. Edge turned down these rumors by tweeting the following:

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Edge is indeed trying to get cleared for an in-ring return and WWE officials are worried that he might sign with AEW as they believe Edge has negotiated with AEW.

There’s no official word yet on if Edge has actually been cleared to wrestle or not.

Edge’s last match took place back in 2011 at WrestleMania 27, where he defeated Alberto Del Rio to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge retired as the World Champion.

Edge last appeared in WWE on the SummerSlam 2019 Kickoff Show, where he speared Elias. This was the first time Edge did something physical in a WWE ring since his retirement.
