• WWE’s 3 Plans For Liv Morgan Canceled
Liv Morgan is out of action after dislocating her shoulder during her match with Kairi Sane on the June 16th episode of RAW. The injury has left her tag team partner, Raquel Rodriguez, without a teammate. However, WWE reportedly has no intention of vacating the Women’s Tag Team Titles. According to PWInsider, the company is considering former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez as a possible replacement. The report describes her as a “heavy favorite” to step in alongside Rodriguez and carry the titles forward. Liv will undergo surgery and will miss the rest of 2025. Bodyslam reports that WWE’s following 3 plans for Liv got canceled due to her injury:
1. IYO SKY (c) vs. Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship at Night of Champions
2. Liv Morgan vs. Nikki Bella at Evolution 2
OR
Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez (c) vs. The Bella Twins for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Evolution 2
3. Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Finn Balor in a Judgment Day Breakup Match
• WWE Sent Top Executive To Calm Locker Room Before Risky Saudi Arabia Flight
With heightened tensions in the Middle East surrounding Night of Champions 2025, WWE has taken extra steps to ease concerns within the roster. According to PWInsider, John Gaburick – the executive who oversees WWE’s Saudi Arabia events – flew from Riyadh to personally meet with the talent before they boarded the charter flight to the Kingdom. His presence was meant to reassure the locker room that the trip would proceed as planned and would be no different from previous visits to the region.
This follows recent unease stemming from the Israel-Iran conflict, which only just reached a ceasefire days before travel began. WWE performers have reportedly been instructed not to discuss the situation publicly, and concerns over safety had grown backstage in the lead-up to the event. Despite that, WWE is moving forward with the show as scheduled, with Gaburick serving as the key liaison between the company and Saudi officials.
• WWE Is Planning A Big Triple Threat Match For Evolution 2
At WrestleMania 41, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria were scheduled to team up for a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. However, a mysterious attack on Bayley led to Becky Lynch returning to step in, as they went on to capture tag team gold on the Grandest Stage of Them All. The victory was short-lived, as Morgan and Rodriguez reclaimed the tag titles the next night on RAW, sparking tension.
Lynch’s betrayal of Valkyria emerged after the title loss, revealing she had orchestrated Bayley’s ambush to seize her spot. This led to a heated rivalry, with Valkyria retaining her title until Lynch defeated her in a Last Chance match at Money In The Bank to become the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion. On this week’s RAW, Lyra interfered in the Becky vs. Bayley match for the IC Title, where she attacked Becky – thus enabling Becky to win the match and retain the title via DQ.
According to WrestleVotes, Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship will take place at Evolution 2 on July 13. So far, WWE has only announced one match for Evolution 2: Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Jordynne Grace for the NXT Women’s Championship.
• Sad News For Drew McIntyre’s Fans
Drew McIntyre is expected to be away from WWE for the foreseeable future, according to new reports. PWInsider first reported that McIntyre is taking “an extended period of rest” following a stretch of physically demanding matches that left him dealing with injuries. Backstage discussions have also indicated that the former WWE Champion had been in need of a break for some time. While there has been online speculation about McIntyre possibly exploring opportunities in Hollywood, PWInsider clarified that his current absence is strictly personal and not related to any acting roles.
McIntyre’s most recent appearance was at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24, where he lost to Damian Priest in a Steel Cage Match. The bout ended after Priest hit him with a Con-Chair-To and exited the cage for the win.
In a new update from WrestleVotes, it’s noted that WWE has no immediate plans for McIntyre to return to programming, as he continues to focus on recovery. At this time, there’s no confirmed timeline for his return.
