• WWE’s Current Plan For The Main Event Of WrestleMania 37

At last night’s Hell In A Cell 2020 pay-per-view, Randy Orton defeated Drew McIntyre in a brutal Hell in a Cell match in the main event to win the WWE Championship.

Orton’s Title win will now cause a lot of plans to change in the WWE Championship picture.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that the current plan for WrestleMania 37 appears to be Randy Orton and Edge headlining the show for the WWE Championship.

“I certainly was given the impression tonight that Orton and Edge is the direction right now for that championship.”

Previous plans stated that Orton will defend the Title against Edge in an “I Quit” match, but it’s unknown if it still stands now.

Edge defeated Orton in a Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania 36, with The Legend Killer getting an equalizer against him in ‘The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever’ at Backlash a few months later.

Edge is currently out of action with a triceps injury, which will probably keep him away from the ring until January or February 2021.

The Rated-R Superstar told Orton in his last appearance via satellite on RAW that he’ll be coming after Orton when he returns, as he attacked his best friend, Christian.
