WrestleMania 37 Matches, Change In Location, Undertaker’s Status, Rumors About The Rock

WrestleMania 37 Matches The Rock The Undertaker Brock Lesnar WrestleFeed App

WrestleMania 37 is still about 6 months away, but the rumor mill is already on overdrive for WWE’s biggest show of the year. The company is already done with 3 out of the “Big 4” pay-per-view line-up of 2020.

There’s no denying that the match card for ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’ will be absolutely stacked due to the amount of talent there is on RAW, SmackDown and NXT. But either way, one thing is definitely guaranteed and it’s the fact that there is potential for some great matches to happen on the show.

In this article, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know about WWE’s biggest show of 2021, WrestleMania 37.

WrestleMania 37 Logo, Promo Video, & WWE’s Official Announcement

WWE made the following announcement regarding WrestleMania 37 in February 2020 (when fans were still attending WWE events):

WrestleMania returns to Los Angeles in 2021

“WrestleMania is going Hollywood.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr. and WWE are proud to announce that SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park in Los Angeles will host WWE’s pop-culture extravaganza, WrestleMania, on Sunday, March 28, 2021.”

Below is the official logo for WrestleMania 37:

You can watch the promo for WrestleMania 37 below:

As seen in the above promo, legends like The Undertaker, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock and Triple H were shown.

This is interesting, as WWE didn’t use The Undertaker during WrestleMania 35 ads to promote the event, as they knew The Phenom wouldn’t be a part of the show.

This most likely means WWE is interested in using multiple legends when WrestleMania goes Hollywood next year!

Original Dates For WWE Shows During WrestleMania 37 Week

25th March – WWE Hall Of Fame – Staples Center

26th March – Friday Night SmackDown – Staples Center

27th March – NXT TakeOver: Los Angeles – Staples Center

28th March – WrestleMania 37 – SoFi Stadium

Location

The current location for next year’s WrestleMania 37 is the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. However, nothing is confirmed yet due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

In a major update on WrestleMania 37’s location, WrestleVotes is reporting that the event may move back to Tampa, Florida next year, which was the location for this year’s WrestleMania 36. However, Tampa didn’t get to host the event due to the pandemic.

Below is what WrestleVotes posted:

“Teaser: hearing a story that WWE will likely deny outright, due to certain contractual obligations at this time.

Need to hear from another source first before we put it out. Stand by.”

“Those contractual obligations are with the state of California regarding WrestleMania…

The news of WWE looking into Tampa Bay is accurate. Very accurate.”

“Now that news is out, I can say that WWE has had Tampa listed as the host city internally for over a month. The battle w/ the city of Los Angeles about who can legally cancel the event & when is still underway. However, IF we get a traditional WrestleMania, Tampa Bay will host.”

WWE issued the following statement to Jon Alba about the reports circulating online regarding the change in location of WrestleMania 37:

“We have nothing to report and given the current environment, we continue to monitor locations for all of our potential events.”

Date & Time

WrestleMania 37 is currently scheduled to take place on March 28, 2021. This will be the first WrestleMania in March since WrestleMania 31, which took place on March 29, 2015.

In USA, the WrestleMania kickoff show starts at 5 PM EST and is of two hours. The main show begins at 7 PM EST and could last over 5 hours. The WrestleMania 35 main show in 2019 was 5 hours and 20 minutes.

However, that wasn’t the case in 2020, when WrestleMania 36 was split into two nights. Both nights had a one hour kickoff show. Night 1 of WrestleMania 36 was about 2 hours and 50 minutes long, while Night 2 of WrestleMania 36 was about 3 hours 20 minutes long.

We want to specify the timings for Indian fans too, since WWE’s biggest fanbase is from India. Both RAW & SmackDown draw over 10 million viewers every week in India and WrestleMania draws close to 100 million views (it is aired on free TV, just like RAW, SmackDown, and NXT).

The WrestleMania kickoff show begins at 2:30 AM IST, and the main show begins at 4:30 AM IST.

Where To Watch & How Much Will It Cost?

You can watch WrestleMania 37 on the WWE Network, which costs $9.99 a month. If WWE has an offer going on at that time, then new users can even get to watch it for free by simply subscribing to the service and not get charged for the first month. You can tap here to go to the WWE Network subscription page.

If you don’t have the WWE Network, or don’t want to watch on it due to poor internet service, then you can also order WrestleMania 37 on pay-per-view, which will cost somewhere between $59.99-$69.99.

As we noted under the above heading, if you’re a fan from India, then you can watch WrestleMania 37 for free on TV, on Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 1 HD for English commentary, and on Sony Ten 3 for Hindi commentary.

WrestleMania 37 Ticket Price

As of this writing, there’s no information available regarding the tickets and their prices as WWE is still not sure if fans will be able to attend their biggest show of the year.

According to current plans, WrestleMania 37 is slated to take place at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles California, but there’s a big possibility of it moving to the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida (which was the original site for WrestleMania 36).

The company would only hold the Show Of Shows in a stadium if public gatherings are allowed by March 2021. Florida looks like a good choice for WrestleMania 37 because Governor Ron DeSantis has already allowed sporting events to resume at huge capacities under phase 3 of the reopening of the state.

Jon Alba of MyNews13 reported that Miami Dolphins are now allowed to run their games at a capacity of 65,000 fans at the Hard Rock Stadium.

This means that WWE can also easily go ahead with a WrestleMania attended by thousands of fans next year, if they would like to do so.

WrestleVotes noted that Vince McMahon has been hoping to hold WrestleMania 37 at full capacity, so Florida is a pretty strong runner to host next year’s Show Of Shows.

WrestleMania 37 Rumors, News, & Interviews So Far

Under this heading, we’ll take a look at the rumors, interviews & reports that have come up for this event so far.

Edge’s WrestleMania 37 Plan Revealed

As we have noted earlier, the rubber match of the Edge – Randy Orton feud was set to take place at SummerSlam 2020, but that isn’t going to take place due to Edge being out of action with a triceps injury.

According to the Wrestling Observer, current plan is for Edge and Randy Orton to have an “I Quit” match at WrestleMania 37.

It’s possible that this match could end up being for the WWE Championship, as there have been some reports that Orton might dethrone Drew McIntyre to become the WWE Champion later this year, and then go on to face Edge next year.

WWE’s Current Plan For Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar hasn’t worked any WWE show since losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. As noted before, his contract with the company has also expired.

However, it’s likely that Lesnar will re-sign with the company when both sides need each other.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE has considered a WWE Championship rematch between Lesnar and McIntyre for next year’s WrestleMania.

“Lesnar’s name had been talked about in WWE in reference to a Drew McIntyre rematch for this coming WrestleMania.”

It was noted that this plan will be considered if McIntyre doesn’t drop the Title to Randy Orton in their ongoing feud, and nothing has been decided yet.

This is not the only rematch of WrestleMania 36 we could see at next year’s WrestleMania, as Edge vs. Randy Orton has also been discussed for next year’s Show of Shows.

The Rock Comments On The Idea Of Losing To Roman Reigns At WrestleMania

While speaking to Hiram Garcia on his YouTube channel about the book “The Rock: Through the Lens”, WWF/E Legend The Rock revealed how it was to work with his cousin, Roman Reigns, on the set of “Hobbs & Shaw”.

The topic of fans wanting to see Roman Reigns vs. The Rock was also brought up, about which The Great One said:

“Feels like the one that would make sense, right, would be Roman. In terms of box-office draw…”

Garcia asked him who would go over and Rock said in a joking manner:

“I know how that conversation goes. ‘Listen, here’s what we’re thinking. Roman beats you now at this WrestleMania. But, listen, before you guys say anything. Then on the next one…that’s when…”

Rock added:

“But you know what, the truth is, I would be honored not only to share the ring with Roman and to go back to the WWE. But of course, I would be honored to raise his hand in that one.”

The Miz Wants To Face Roman Reigns

While speaking to AwardsWatch, The Miz said that he wants to face Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37 next year.

Here’s what the former WWE Champion said:

“Cleveland is my hometown, but LA is where I live, and so I consider that home as well. So, to be in my backyard, to not be the main event of WrestleMania, will be a huge disappointment on my behalf.

Now I look at the card and I look at who just came back. ‘The Big Dog’ Roman Reigns. Not only that, but he won the Universal Championship and now he has Paul Heyman in his pocket. He is the most dangerous Superstar in all of WWE now.

If you didn’t believe he had it before, which I did believe, I’ve always believed he had it…but if you didn’t believe, now with Heyman in his pocket…you are going to believe. Cause Heyman will make you believe.

I need to take my own advice and start getting more serious. Getting more elevated inside the WWE ring to where people will view me as a viable opponent for someone like Roman Reigns as Universal Champion with Paul Heyman by his side. I know what I need to do now.”

Charlotte Flair Fires Back At Report Of Her Missing WrestleMania 37

During a recent interview with Wrestlinginc, two time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair gave an update on his daughter, Charlotte Flair, after her recent surgery.

Ric said Charlotte might miss up to 1 year of action:

“She’s fine, but this time she knows, and her personal physician and the company doctors have reinforced it, that she can’t hurry the process. Otherwise, we’re going to be right back. With the stuff that she does, the moonsaults and the way she lands and taking knees and everything, she’s got to be a 100%. And she will be.

So she’ll be fine just has to be patient and heal. The rotator cuffs, you got to let those heal. You gotta let the knees [heal], and I got to remind her sometimes like Seth was off for a year. She’s likely out for a year. It’s not the end. You’ll come back.”

A site then turned this interview into a report that Charlotte is going to miss WrestleMania 37, and The Queen fired back:

“This isn’t remotely freaking true, but I’m going to skip over that because this is the same bag of sh*t who was making “jokes” about a psychopath trying to kidnap my co-worker.

If you follow this garbage, shame on you.”

Update On Plans For The WrestleMania 37 Main Event

As noted before, it was reported by the Wrestling Observer that WWE was planning to have Randy Orton vs. Edge for the WWE Championship in an I Quit match as the main event of WrestleMania 37.

In an update to that report, the Observer now reports that WWE isn’t sure if that will be the main event anymore.

“At one point WrestleMania was to be headlined by Orton vs. Edge in an I Quit match. It was not a lock that Orton would be champion, but it was something under discussion.

At last word, there was no longer a 100% clear main event direction for the show. If Orton is going to win the title, then Lee should beat him here to set up Orton vs. Lee title matches, since they have no other babyfaces ready for Orton with the way they’ve booked Mysterio and Owens (who Orton beat on TV) and with [Aleister] Black turning.”

Orton was rumored to win the WWE Championship at SummerSlam, but it didn’t happen. However, his rivalry with Drew McIntyre is still going on, so he could still win the Title in the near future.

Is WWE Planning To Make WrestleMania 37 A Two Night Event?

WWE made WrestleMania a two night event for the first time ever this year. WrestleMania 36 took place on Saturday and Sunday (April 5th & 6th).

While appearing on Corey Graves’ After The Bell Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Triple H stated that a two night WrestleMania event was more enjoyable, and he would like the same to happen in the future.

Dave Meltzer discussed this on the Wrestling Observer and said that there are no plans for next year’s WrestleMania 37 to be a two night event currently:

“As of right now, the plan for next year is just a Sunday show in Los Angeles.”

WWE is probably not focused on the length of next year’s WrestleMania, but they’ll be more focused on the fact if they’ll be able to hold it at the venue or not.

WWE Working On A “Plan B” For WrestleMania 37

WrestleMania 37 is currently scheduled to take place in Inglewood, California on March 28, 2021.

As we reported before, Eric Garcetti (Mayor of Los Angeles) noted in a conference that “large gatherings such as concerts and sporting events may not be approved in the city for at least 1 year”.

With that being said, WrestleVotes is reporting that WWE is working on a “Plan B” for WrestleMania 37:

“Full disclaimer – it’s far too early to speculate on specific details, however:

WWE has begun researching a “plan B” on an alternative site to host WrestleMania 37 if the state of California is not allowing large gatherings and / or SoFi Stadium is not finished on time.”

As we noted earlier in this article, this old report from WrestleVotes was confirmed and updated by them once again, as WWE’s Plan B is to hold WrestleMania 37 in Tampa, Florida (site of WrestleMania 36).

Ronda Rousey Is Not Expected To Return Until WrestleMania 37

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, UFC Hall Of Famer & former RAW Women’s Ronda Rousey is scheduled to return for one more match in WWE.

Regarding when that match might take place, the expectation is that Rousey will return in time for next year’s WrestleMania 37:

“I expect her at next year’s WrestleMania because it’s Los Angeles. The idea is to draw this giant crowd and it’s her home market and she will be heavily pushed as one of the faces of the show. I don’t expect her back, I mean I haven’t heard, but I don’t expect her back anytime soon.

I would not think that she would be back until the build for next year’s WrestleMania. That’s my gut on it, but no one’s told me that but people there have told me that she will be back at one point for at least another match. WrestleMania does make the most sense for that.”

Hollywood Hulk Hogan Challenged To A WrestleMania 37 Match By Seth Rollins

With the announcement of WrestleMania 37 going Hollywood, Seth Rollins laid down a WrestleMania challenge to WWE Hall of Famer “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan.

Below is what Rollins tweeted:

“The greatest wrestling company in the world bringing the greatest event of the year to LA in 2021 #hollywoodrollins vs. #hollywoodhogan Book it, brother! @WWE @HulkHogan”

WWE Wanted To Break Their All-Time Attendance Record At WrestleMania 37

*This report was released before WWE made their official WrestleMania 37 announcement and revealed the location*

According to the Wrestling Observer, WrestleMania 37 is expected to take place in Los Angeles and WWE might set a new all-time attendance record at that event.

Below is what Dave Meltzer said:

“It’s gonna be Los Angeles. I heard that the city of Los Angeles wants it in 2021, but WWE wants it in 2022, but it looks like the city of Los Angeles is probably gonna get its way.

The gist is that the city wants — the Super Bowl is coming in February 2022 to the new stadium in Hollywood Park which is being built. It’s a giant stadium, it’s gonna hold 100,000+ people like the AT&T Stadium.

So WWE is gonna claim when they go there that they break the AT&T record, they’ll probably claim like 102,000 people.”

WWE’s current all-time attendance record is 101,763, which was set at WrestleMania 32 in 2016.

Roman Reigns Reacts To The Rock’s Comments About Losing To Him At WrestleMania

As we noted earlier, The Rock said on his YouTube channel that he’s open to facing WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

He said that Reigns vs. Rock feels like the match that would make sense in terms of box-office draw. The Great One added that he would feel honored to share the ring with his cousin and to go back to WWE to put him over.

Reigns tweeted the following about Rock’s comments:

“.@TheRock at #WrestleMania… Jey @WWEUsos at #WWEClash, my responsibility is putting our family’s name on top of the card and at the center of @WWE Universe.”

Original Plan For WWE Championship Match At WrestleMania 37

In the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania 36, Drew McIntyre defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship.

According to The Dirty Sheets patreon page, the original plan for WrestleMania 37 was Drew McIntyre defending the WWE Championship against Aleister Black.

This was the plan because then RAW Executive Director, Paul Heyman, was very high on Black, and that’s why Black was being booked very strong on WWE programming.

However, this plan got scrapped when Heyman was removed from his position and Bruce Prichard took over his role. Prichard isn’t high on Black and the former NXT Champion will no longer be involved in the WWE Title picture during the WrestleMania 37 season.

Update On John Cena & The Undertaker’s WrestleMania 37 Status

According to the Wrestling Observer, John Cena and The Undertaker will get calls to work WrestleMania 37 if the show ends up featuring fans by then.

However, it was also noted that Cena & Taker won’t be needed if WWE manages to book Roman Reigns vs. The Rock:

“I think if there are no fans then there’s no reason to bring [Cena] back. If there are fans…you know come WrestleMania season they’re gonna talk to John Cena and they’re gonna talk to Undertaker. I mean it’s just how it is no matter what they say now. A lot of times those guys come back.

If there’s any chance of Dwayne [The Rock] vs Roman Reigns you really don’t need Undertaker or John Cena on the card, but you know it’s WrestleMania.”

Vince McMahon Wants Ronda Rousey & Becky Lynch Back At WrestleMania 37

Ronda Rousey hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania 35, where she lost the RAW Women’s Championship to Becky Lynch in a Triple-Threat match in the main event.

Following her loss, Rousey took time off from WWE to start a family.

As we noted before, Rousey has started training to wrestle again, and was spotted training in the ring with WWE Hall Of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper’s daughter, Teal Piper recently.

In her latest training session, Rousey trained with former TNA World Heavyweight Champion James Storm.

The Cowboy shared a photo of them on Twitter and wrote the following:

“Big thanks to @rondarousey & @travisbrownemma for the invite to do a little wrestling around. I’ve met a lot of people that come from different sports but none besides @therealkurtangle that have the respect for pro wrestling like she does.”

Rousey is training in the ring because Vince McMahon has a major match planned for her at WrestleMania 37.

According to Wrestlingnewsco, Vince McMahon is planning to do the long awaited Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch singles match at WrestleMania 37, possibly in the main event of the show.

Becky, who is due to give birth in December, is expected back in WWE by February:

“Vince is hoping for Becky to be back in January or February to start the one on one feud with Ronda.

Vince wants WrestleMania to be the show that says ‘WWE is back’.

We can’t do Becky vs. Ronda in the Thunderdome with no fans. He wants the fans back and they will be back by the time WrestleMania rolls around.”

WrestleMania 37 Matches, Predictions, & Moments

15. WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2020 Finally Gets Inducted

WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020 will be inducted during WrestleMania 37 weekend

WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony for 2020 was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. It’s unknown when the company plans to hold it.

The latest plan states that the ceremony would be held during WrestleMania 37 weekend, as WWE now plans to induct the 2020 Hall Of Fame inductees in 2021.

It’s likely that there won’t be any new inductees added next year, and the latest class headlined by Batista and nWo will enter the Hall Of Fame next year.

Below is the list of WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020 inductees:

– Batista

– nWo (Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman)

– JBL

– “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith

– Jushin “Thunder” Liger

– The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie)

14. Triple H Wrestles His Final Match

Triple H WrestleMania 37 Graphic WrestleFeed App

As of late, WWE Hall of Famer Triple H has wrestled less than he usually does at this point in his career. His last PPV match was against Randy Orton at Super ShowDown 2019 in Saudi Arabia, which he lost.

The Game didn’t compete at this year’s WrestleMania 36, which was the first time in 13 years he didn’t wrestle at the Show Of Shows. This may be a hint that he’s slowly putting an end to his pro wrestling career.

On a recent Twitch stream of his, AJ Styles stated that he’d love for Triple H to have his last match against him.

There aren’t any clear plans for The Phenomenal One at WrestleMania 37 currently, so WWE could have this dream match there to have a future Hall Of Famer put an end to a current Hall Of Famer’s career.

Triple H recently said in an interview that he’s not done as an in-ring performer yet, and that there might be 1-2 matches left in him (which will be done at the right time).

13. Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal & WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal Return

The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal is one of the matches which WWE holds at WrestleMania every year. WrestleMania 36 was the first time the match didn’t take place since 2014.

On the other hand, the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal also took place in 2018 and 2019, but didn’t take place in 2020.

Both of these matches were cancelled due to the social distancing guidelines issued due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

However, WWE has now started doing Battle Royals again, so expect these two bouts to return at WrestleMania 37.

The number of participants may be limited though, if the situation related to the Coronavirus pandemic doesn’t come under control.

12. Dominik Mysterio vs. Rey Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio turning on his father, Rey Mysterio, had been rumored even before he made his in-ring debut, and it will definitely happen at some point.

WWE will probably have the father and son duo continue as a team until the big event, before which they’ll start teasing their break up. They could have their match at WrestleMania, as that’s the biggest event of the year.

Dominik will obviously win, as his father would want to put him over.

11. “The Demon King” Finn Balor (c) vs. Karrion Kross – NXT Championship Match

Demon King Finn Balor vs Karrion Kross NXT Championship Match WrestleMania 37 Graphic WrestleFeed App

Karrion Kross was one of the most dominant wrestlers in NXT until a separated shoulder made him the shortest reigning NXT Champion in history, with only a reign of 3 days with the Title.

Soon after that, Finn Balór won the Title. Balór will most likely carry the NXT Championship into the WrestleMania season, and Kross will be back by then as well.

WWE may have the first ever NXT Championship match at WrestleMania next year, and they could have two of the biggest stars in the show’s history to compete there.

Balór is already well known among fans, and his “Demon” gimmick can be brought back there to attract even more fans. On the other hand, Kross can get his redemption at the big stage.

This match could take place at NXT TakeOver that weekend, unless WWE plans to have a 2 night long WrestleMania next year as well.

10. Edge vs. Randy Orton – “I Quit” Match

Edge vs Randy Orton I Quit Match WrestleMania 37 Graphic WrestleFeed App

The Rated-R Superstar was involved in a months long storyline with Randy Orton since his miraculous return at the Royal Rumble earlier this year.

Edge defeated Orton in a Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania 36, with The Legend Killer getting an equalizer against him in ‘The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever’ at Backlash a few months later.

Edge is currently out of action with a triceps injury, which will probably keep him away from the ring until January or February 2021.

The current plan for WrestleMania 37 is Edge vs. Randy Orton in an “I Quit” match, which is highly expected to happen, since The Rated-R Superstar told Orton that he’ll be coming after him, after Orton’s attack on his best friend, Christian.

9. Drew McIntyre vs. Tyson Fury

Since Drew McIntyre won the WWE Championship, undefeated Boxing Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury has been calling him out for a match on social media.

As noted before, McIntyre, Fury and WWE are all ready to set up this mega match. However, WWE would want to use a mega star like Fury to sell tickets, which obviously isn’t possible right now.

The company will probably wait until WrestleMania next year to have The Chosen One vs. The Gypsy King, as they’re hoping to have fans back at their events by then.

8. John Cena vs. Braun Strowman

Even though he’s not a full-time wrestler for WWE anymore, John Cena always makes time for the company to show up during the WrestleMania season every year.

He’ll probably be at WrestleMania 37 as well, and he has a bigger reason to be there too because he’s now growing as a Hollywood Superstar, and the Show Of Shows goes Hollywood next year (at least as of this writing).

A possible opponent for him could be Braun Strowman. WWE could do this to build Strowman as a monster again, as losing to “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and then to Roman Reigns hurt his stock big time.

This will also help him to contain his WrestleMania momentum, as he beat WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg at WrestleMania 36, which is a feat not many have achieved.

7. Asuka (c) vs. Charlotte Flair – RAW Women’s Championship Match

Asuka’s second RAW Women’s Championship reign has only been a month long, but it may turn out to be a pretty long one, as the red brand doesn’t have many top stars right now, so the Women’s division will probably be led by The Empress.

If she walks in with the RAW Women’s Championship into the WrestleMania season, then she may have many big challengers awaiting her.

The first one probably will be Charlotte Flair, who went back and forth with Asuka before she took time off for elective surgery. The Queen should be back early next year, so she may go after Asuka in a rematch of their encounter at WrestleMania 34.

6. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Goldberg – The Rematch

“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt never forgets, and he surely hasn’t forgotten what WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg did to him at Super ShowDown earlier this year.

There’s a lot left to tell in their story, as Goldberg was only successful in dethroning The Fiend as the Universal Champion, but he wasn’t successful in taking him down as The Fiend immediately got up after their match and disappeared.

Goldberg has a 2 match per year deal with WWE until 2022, so he may return for a match at WrestleMania next year.

WWE could have The Fiend take his revenge against the WCW Legend there.

5. Ronda Rousey vs. Rhea Ripley

Ronda Rousey hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania 35, where she lost the RAW Women’s Championship to Becky Lynch in a Triple-Threat match.

Following her loss, Rousey took time off from WWE to start a family. As we noted before, she has reportedly started training for her in-ring return.

This means that she could be back in time for WrestleMania 37. One unlikely challenger for her could be Rhea Ripley, since WWE has started featuring NXT talent on WrestleMania, and WrestleMania 37 may turn out to be her second WrestleMania.

Rousey stated earlier this year she wants to face Ripley when she returns, and the comments were well received by the former NXT Women’s Champion as well.

4. The Undertaker Appears One More Time As “The American Badass”

The Undertaker retired at this year’s WrestleMania after defeating AJ Styles in a Boneyard match, but he can return whenever he wants.

Taker has stated that he will return when Vince McMahon wants him back, and he himself also has the itch to return during every WrestleMania season, which is why we could see him at next year’s Show Of Shows.

WWE could possibly have his farewell match there, if fans return.

It could be against AJ Styles (if he doesn’t face Triple H), as they were supposed to have a normal match this year until fans were barred from attending huge events.

Another possibility could be Sting and Taker going head-to-head in a cinematic match, which could finally be the official retirement for both legends.

If The Undertaker doesn’t have a match, he will surely make some kind of an appearance at WrestleMania 37.

3. Sasha Banks (c) vs. Sonya Deville vs. Bayley – SmackDown Women’s Championship Match

The feud between Sasha Banks and Bayley has already begun, and it’s expected that The Boss will put an end to The Role Model’s lengthy SmackDown Women’s Championship reign this year.

Banks could then head into WrestleMania with the Title, and have a Royal Rumble winning Sonya Deville challenge her at the Show Of Shows.

Bayley could also be added into the match to add more star power, and also Banks and Bayley to have their long awaited moment at WrestleMania.

2. Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Keith Lee – WWE Championship Match

Brock Lesnar hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. In addition to that, The Beast’s WWE contract has also expired.

However, Vince McMahon will probably bring him back with the return of live crowds, which is expected to happen after WWE’s ThunderDome contract with Amway Center expires.

There’s a possibility that Lesnar goes after the WWE Championship after returning, and ends up winning it.

Lesnar may defend it against Keith Lee, since The Limitless One is being built as the next top star on RAW right now. WWE teased an encounter between them during this year’s Royal Rumble match as well.

1. Roman Reigns (c) vs. The Rock – Universal Championship Match

Now, this is a match which is rumored every year, but obviously hasn’t happened yet. However, the chances of Roman Reigns facing The Rock at WrestleMania 37 are higher than ever because the Show Of Shows goes Hollywood next year.

But this just seems the perfect stage for the two cousins to face off. The arena is filled with cheers when The Great One shows up, and it’s the opposite for The Tribal Chief. But now that Reigns is a proper heel, this will be the perfect babyface vs. heel encounter.

The position “Tribal Chief” in the region of American Samoa has a lot of respect and responsibility. Reigns and Rock are two of the biggest Samoans to ever step inside the ring, so they could battle for this Title at WrestleMania.

Paul Heyman has also named Reigns vs. Rock as a match that should happen so Reigns can prove himself, so this is the best opportunity for WWE to have Rock face Reigns for the Universal Championship.

To plant seeds for this feud, Heyman said the following on Ariel Helwani’s podcast:

“Oh, I’m sure Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson sure hopes so. Let’s examine this from a realistic point of view – Roman Reigns never mentioned Dwayne Johnson’s name. Paul Heyman never mentioned Dwayne Johnson’s name. So you can’t categorize this as ‘The biggest star on FOX Network’, let alone the biggest star on SmackDown, let alone the biggest star in WWE is looking to call out a bigger star. We never mentioned Dwayne Johnson’s name.

The Rock mentioned Roman Reigns’ name. Rock called out Roman Reigns. The Rock is positioning himself to get the celebrity rub off of Roman Reigns, and you know what? God bless The Rock for doing it.

He’s always thinking, very sharp. He’s always thinking box office, but he’s not the only box office attraction beeping in front of Vince McMahon’s door saying, ‘I want to work with Roman Reigns’.

Every other huge box office attraction, from celebrities, to sports celebrities, to mixed martial artists – Daniel Cormier – to sports entertainers, to legends from sports entertainment, are all banging down Vince’s door saying, ‘Please put me in the main event of WrestleMania to work with Roman Reigns.’

He’s the single hottest box office attraction in WWE and he’s the biggest star on FOX, and he’s only scratching the surface of how far he can go in this new presentation.”
