• WWF Legend On Whether There’s A “War” Between WWE & AEW

Old School WWF Legend Road Dogg Jesse James was recently interviewed on an episode of the ‘Insight with Chris Van Vliet’ podcast, where he was asked whether or not there’s a war going on between WWE and Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling.

Here’s what the famous D-Generation X member had to say:

“AEW is not going head to head with WWE, so it almost feels more like, not a war but like, I don’t know, like, there is another wrestling show on. I don’t think the boys are in a competition, in a war, as the offices are, you know what I mean?”

Road Dogg wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation for most of the 1995-2001 Monday Night Wars between the WWF and WCW, so that’s where his comparison is most likely coming from.

AEW only went head-to-head with WWE’s developmental brand NXT from October 2019 until April 2021.
