After runs with Smoky Mountain Wrestling (1994), Extreme Championship Wrestling (1996) and Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (1996-1999), Chris Jericho wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (later WWE) from 1999 to 2005 and again from 2007 until 2010 and from 2011 till 2018.

In late 2001, Y2J became the first ever Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion, thus unifying the by far most prestigious World Titles on the planet, the WWF Championship and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

His former Thrillseekers Tag Team partner (in SMW) Lance Storm took to Twitter and revealed an incident, where back in 1994 Chris Jericho snuck out of the hospital despite having a broken arm, in order to make the event that day and wrestle the actual match he was booked in.

Here’s what Lance said about Chris:

“They diagnosed his broken arm, scheduled his surgery. He then snuck out of the hospital and wrestled a couple hours later. I took him back for surgery in the morning.”

Chris Jericho is with Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling right from the very beginning of the promotion in 2019 and became the first ever AEW World Champion on August 31st 2019.

He will turn 53 in November and doesn’t plan on retiring from in-ring competition anytime soon.
