Old School WCW/TNA Veteran AJ Styles (Real name: Allen Jones) celebrates his 43rd birthday today.

AJ Styles joined Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in early 2001, where he was put in a Tag Team with Air Paris, but when the company was sold to Vince McMahon in March neither one of them had their contracts picked up by the World Wrestling Federation.

Styles did have quite a few try-out matches, dark matches and even a minor televised match (on Jakked/Metal) for the WWF in 2001 & 2002, but eventually ended up signing with Jeff Jarrett’s new NWA-TNA promotion, where he made a name for himself by winning the X-Division Championship, as well as the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, among other titles.

He stayed with Total Nonstop Action! for almost 12 years until early 2014, before he left to wrestle on the indies and eventually ended up with the WWE in January 2016.

He continued that tradition by posting the following on Facebook last month:

“Ok, I rarely do this, but gonna ask your advice..she claims 20, which in Bama is legal..BUT..does she look 20 to y’all..she said her mother is a huge fan of mine but she will f’ me first..see, this is the sh*t y’all don’t gotta deal with..do you think I don’t want to? But..not trusting on the age.”
