Former WWF Tag Team Champion Bobby Horne, better known to wrestling fans as Sir Mo of Men on a Mission, has passed away after a long and difficult health battle. The news was confirmed by Steve Stasiak of Book Pro Wrestlers. The 58-year-old wrestling veteran had been hospitalized since August, fighting multiple serious complications, including a blood infection, pneumonia, and dangerously low blood pressure, according to updates shared by his wife, Denise Jones.

Bobby Horne’s condition had been critical for several weeks before his passing. He had been in intensive care battling a series of infections and organ-related issues. His wife, Denise, had been providing regular updates, detailing the intense ups and downs of his condition.

In one of her earlier updates, she explained that doctors were struggling to stabilize his blood pressure while treating a severe blood infection and pneumonia. He was placed on CRRT (continuous dialysis) to remove toxins from his body, as his lactic acid levels had risen to dangerous levels of 13.3.

At the time, Denise shared how close they came to intubation on multiple occasions, saying that while doctors were deeply concerned about his breathing, Bobby was still fighting hard and resting peacefully between treatments.

On October 12, Denise Jones shared a heartbreaking update that painted a clearer picture of just how serious Bobby’s condition had become. She revealed that earlier that week, Bobby had developed a cough that quickly escalated into pneumonia and septic shock, forcing doctors to intubate him on Wednesday.

Doctors warned the family that night that he might not survive until morning. But, true to his fighting spirit, Bobby made it through the night and continued to battle on.

By Thursday and Friday, his condition briefly stabilized, and doctors were able to reduce his medication levels slightly. His daughters arrived from Tennessee, and other family members from North Carolina joined them in Dallas to be by his side.

Sadly, despite the improvements, his condition ultimately took a turn for the worse, and he passed away surrounded by loved ones.

Bobby “Sir Mo” Horne is best remembered as one-half of the colorful and charismatic WWF tag team Men on a Mission, alongside Mabel (Viscera) and their manager Oscar. They captured the WWF Tag Team Championship in 1994, and their blend of energy and positivity made them fan favorites during the mid-1990s.

Outside the ring, Horne was deeply respected for his resilience and faith. He faced significant health struggles over the years – including a kidney transplant in 2018 and a three-week ICU stay after contracting COVID-19 in 2022.

His wife’s updates and the outpouring of messages from the wrestling community reflected just how loved and admired he was — not just as a performer, but as a man who fought courageously until the end.

Rest in peace, Sir Mo (Bobby Horne, 1967-2025). Your legacy and fight will never be forgotten.
