• X-Pac Explains Why There’s No Chance Of Him Entering The 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble Match
Every year, fans look forward to wrestlers from the past returning during the Royal Rumble match, even if it’s just a one night thing.
WrestleVotes recently reported that WWE is happy with the surprises they have planned for this Saturday night:
“Asked a source the reasoning behind Cody’s Rumble return being announced as opposed to a surprise…
Source said it’s twofold, one being that nearly everyone expected it to happen already & two, source states they are ‘more than pleased’ with the other surprises that are lined up.”
With that being said, 2-time WWE Hall Of Famer X-Pac (who appeared at RAW XXX this past Monday) revealed on Twitter that he won’t enter the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
Here’s what the DX & nWo member wrote:
“For the last 8 months, I’ve been enjoying life & eating whatever the f— I want.
In other words, there’s no chance of me being in the Rumble. But I really appreciate those of you who have expressed their desire to see me appear. 🙏”
X-Pac returned to in-ring action last year after 3 years. He wrestled 2 matches in GCW, a tag team match and a singles match.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (January 27, 1993) – André The Giant Passed Away
On this day in 1993, we lost Old School WWF Legend “The Eighth Wonder of the World” André The Giant (Real name: André René Roussimoff) at the age of 46 due to congestive heart failure, which was most likely a result of his gigantism / acromegaly.
André wrestled for various promotions during the 60s, 70s, 80s and early 90s, but is best remembered for his time in the World Wrestling Federation (fka WWWF) where he worked from 1973 to 1991.
His biggest moment came in 1987 when he “passed the torch” to Hulk Hogan in the legendary main event of WWF WrestleMania III. Hogan bodyslamming him is still referred to as “the slam heard around the world”.
In March 1993, André The Giant became the first ever inductee into the newly founded WWF Hall of Fame (now known as WWE Hall of Fame).
