2-Time WWE Hall of Famer X-Pac addressed speculation about a potential in-ring return, confirming he has no plans to wrestle again due to serious health challenges he faced in 2024.

Speaking to Denise Salcedo, X-Pac revealed he battled diverticulitis, a severe condition that hospitalized him for eight days and caused him to lose 30 pounds. This health scare prompted him to prioritize his well-being through rigorous training and recovery efforts.

“No, just no, flat out no. I mean, then watch—next thing you know, I show up at Rumble or something—but no. I’m just trying to get in better shape,” X-Pac stated.

He detailed his experience, explaining how the illness almost claimed his life and how it briefly recurred but was managed promptly. “Earlier last year, I was in the hospital for eight days with diverticulitis. It almost killed me. After that, I lost a bunch of weight—like 30 pounds—and I decided to take things more seriously, to get off my a$$ and focus on my health.

Training every day was tough. It took a while to feel better, but now I’m doing good. It came back a little bit at one point, but as soon as I noticed it, I went straight to the hospital. Anyways, all that to say I’m doing great now, but I had a rough time earlier.”

X-Pac credited AEW wrestler Kenny Omega for supporting him during his recovery, sharing how Omega provided advice and encouragement. “Kenny helped me through it. He was texting me while I was in the hospital, telling me what to expect and everything. That really helped. Great guy.”

Omega, who also overcame a life-threatening bout with diverticulitis, recently returned to in-ring action and competed at Wrestle Dynasty.
