It’s been a week since former AEW World Champion CM Punk was fired from All Elite Wrestling.
The pro wrestling world is divided over Punk’s release from AEW. Some people think that Punk wasn’t the cause of issues in AEW, while some think he was the root of all problems in the promotion.
WWE stars have had mixed reactions to the news as well, and talent in the company have different opinions about Punk possibly returning to WWE.
The Latino World Order’s Zelina Vega has stated that she would love to see the former WWE Champion back in the company.
In an interview with Newsday, she was asked if the red “X” emoji she posted on Twitter a day after Punk’s release was in support of him. She revealed that it wasn’t for him, but stated that she would love to see him back in WWE.
“I wish him the best. Would it be great to see him again? Absolutely.”
She went on to say that she isn’t aware of what exactly happened between him and people in AEW, and talked about her “fantastic relationship” with Punk.
“You hear all these things about him. I am so big on not listening to other people’s experiences, the dirt sheets, all that crap.”
Punk and Vega’s husband Malakai Black are good friends. Black was mostly working on AEW Collision when Punk was running the show.
Vega is also a friend of Punk’s wife AJ Mendez (fka AJ Lee in WWE), whose role she played in the movie “Fighting With My Family”, which was about current AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya’s (fka Paige) life.
