Former NXT North American Champion Is Returning To Wrestling

NXT North American Championship

Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving NXT and Solo Sikoa.

• Leon Ruff is gearing up for his comeback. Ruff’s journey in the world of wrestling began with notable success in EVOLVE and then getting signed by WWE in 2019.

His biggest achievement in WWE was capturing the NXT North American Championship in a match against Johnny Gargano. However, his reign was short-lived as he eventually lost the title to Gargano in a triple threat match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames in 2020.

In August 2021, Ruff was released from WWE. More recently, Ruff has been making waves in promotions such as Ring of Honor (ROH) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Ruff wrote the following about his return on X:

“I’ve spent way too long away from wrestling and I miss it so much! Leon Ruffin is ready to step back in the ring! Tag your favorite promotion(s) you wanna see me wrestle in!!!”
