3. Blade Job Performed During SummerSlam 2016 Main Event
Many fans have been ranting about how Brock Lesnar ruined the SummerSlam 2016 main event against Randy Orton by legitimately injuring him and ending the match with an impromptu finish.
However, that’s not the case. WWE officials planned the match to end exactly the way it ended, with blood as well (as the only way to make that ending look believable was to have Orton bleed).
It should be noted that while Lesnar stiffed Orton with an elbow shot to the head, it was Orton who performed a blade job to cause the bleeding. If you watched closely, Orton’s fingers were stuck together (that’s usually the place to hold the blade) and it was passed to the doctor who came in the ring to check on him (which was not seen on camera).
Everything that happened in the end was planned and that was the reason why Lesnar pushed away the doctor to attack Orton again (which happened during the Lesnar – Undertaker Hell in a Cell match from last year as well and Blade Job was performed in that match as well – both Taker & Lesnar were bleeding in the match).
