Ronda Rousey has had concussion issues for years.

Stephanie McMahon’s slap has been renowned in the wrestling world for its intensity, with many wrestlers attesting to its power.

One notable incident involved Ronda Rousey, who suffered a concussion after taking McMahon’s slap during a segment at Elimination Chamber 2018.

This revelation came to light as Rousey discussed her experiences in WWE while promoting her book, “My Fight”, in an interview with Cageside Seats.

Here’s what Rousey said:

“[Stephanie McMahon’s slap] gave me a concussion.

Nikki Bella gave me an open hand slap (before Evolution 2018) and I was seeing stars and I had a headache for the rest of the day.

I didn’t wanna say anything. I didn’t want them to say, ‘Oh, you can’t do this match that you’ve been preparing for. You can’t do this, can’t do that. And I had a lifetime of experience hiding concussions.

So now that I’ve basically putting all of that behind me, I can finally be open about these things.”

Despite the concussion, Rousey’s debut match alongside Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34 in 2018 is still widely regarded as one of the best in-ring debuts in wrestling history.

Rousey has also noted in recent interviews that her UFC career ended due to her severe concussion history, not because of her back-to-back losses.
