6. Becky Lynch Reigns Supreme Against Asuka
After a long war of words, RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka will finally get their hands on each other tonight at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The winner of the match will walk out with the RAW Women’s Championship.
The Man had one hell of a year in 2019. She main evented WrestleMania and Survivor Series last year, and defeated almost all women in the WWE women’s division. However, she has never been able to defeat Asuka.
Asuka defated her at TLC 2018 in a Triple-Threat match alongside Charlotte Flair, and then in a SmackDown Women’s Title match at Royal Rumble 2019. Asuka as a part of The Kabuki Warriors, defeated Lynch and Flair in a Women’s Tag Team Championship match at TLC 2019.
Lynch will face Asuka a year later once again at Royal Rumble tonight. But this time Lynch will walk into the match with the Title. It’s likely that WWE will finally give Lynch her long awaited win against Asuka to make her stronger than ever heading into WrestleMania 36.
The loss wouldn’t hurt Asuka much as well, as she’s still going to carry the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Kairi Sane.
