11. Roman Reigns Wins The Universal Championship
“The Big Dog” Roman Reigns is the second biggest star on SmackDown right now after Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.
2019 has been a memorable year for him. He defeated cancer to return to the ring and also got a chance to team up with one of his idols, The Undertaker. Reigns got big wins at Crown Jewel and Survivor Series for his teams.
His performance this year is hinting that he’ll be on top of the WWE in 2020. Reigns is the current favourite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble 2020 match.
Currently, he’s rumored to dethrone “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt as the Universal Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 36. However, plans could change depending on the result of the Daniel Bryan vs. The Fiend bout at Royal Rumble.
Whatever happens at Royal Rumble, Reigns’ fortune looks good next year. WWE is building him up once again as the face of the company, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he actually main events WrestleMania 36 to win the Universal Championship.
Even if Reigns fails to win the Title at WrestleMania, he will most probably win it later in 2020.
10. NXT Gets More Spotlight
The yellow brand has come a long way. From being a taped show on the WWE Network to competing with All Elite Wrestling on Wednesday nights, NXT’s move to the USA Network has been a game-changing one.
NXT is no doubt the best brand in WWE right now which is why it won the brand war with 4 points at Survivor Series. It’s also giving a tough time to AEW with good pro wrestling which the fans want.
WWE is reportedly planning big things for NXT in 2020. There are chances that NXT will get some matches at WrestleMania 36, just a night after NXT TakeOver: Tampa. There are also rumors that NXT will be a part of the next Draft/ Superstar Shakeup.
