2. Was Lesnar bluffing about going to UFC earlier this year?
Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract was set to expire at WrestleMania 31 earlier this year. Lesnar wanted to persue Mixed Martial Arts again and even went to a UFC event. However, Lesnar re-signed with WWE 1 week before WrestleMania 31. Some people thought that this was a strategy to make Vince offer him a better contract to re-sign.
Lesnar noted that he wasn’t bluffing about going to UFC just to get a better deal. He was seriously interested in returning to MMA as he felt something missing in his second WWE run. Speaking of UFC, Austin noted that he loved Lesnar’s promos in UFC. He also noted that Lesnar doesn’t speak much in WWE. Lesnar says he’s not good at promos and says he wouldn’t be who he is today if it wasn’t for Paul Heyman speaking for him. Lesnar says he doesn’t have to speak as his actions speak way louder than words. Austin agreed with this.
1. Austin not doing the job for Lesnar in 2002
Lesnar brought up the topic of Austin walking out on WWE in 2002, before their King of the Ring qualifying match on Raw. Austin says he never heard Lesnar’s opinion on this topic and Lesnar says he wasn’t offended and he understands. It’s all business. Lesnar joked about Austin refusing to do the job for him
