2. Ultimate Warrior vs. Sgt. Slaughter – Royal Rumble 1991
Sgt. Slaughter was one of the top heels during that time and Ultimate Warrior was dominating the WWF as its World Champion.
Prior to their bout, Randy Savage’s valet at the time, Sensational Sherri, tried to persuade Warrior to grant Savage a WWF Title shot which he refused. During the match, the odds were stacked against the Warrior as he had to take care of the interference from General Adnan as well.
But he was easily dominating them until Savage & Sherri came to ringside. Savage then struck Warrior in the head with the scepter & Slaughter then pinned Warrior to become the WWF Champion and this gained him even more heat.
