2015’s first ever Pay-Per-View was the Royal Rumble, and for some fans, it failed to deliver, while for some, the match was ruined due to various factors. Some fans wanted guys wanted guys like Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler or Cesaro to win, while some people wanted Roman Reigns to win. Now let me make one thing clear here, Powerhouse wrestler (and related to this post, Roman Reigns) are not bad-wrestlers. It’s your decision who you want to cheer or boo, but hating on a class of wrestlers for invalid reasons is just ignorance.
With that being said, let us take a look at 5 reasons why Roman Reigns got a very bad reaction from the crowd at Royal Rumble :
5. Fans think he has horrible mic skills
Reigns is not the best on the mic, but he’s not the worst either. Yes, he did botch his promo at the TLC PPV, so what? Everyone makes mistakes, get over it. That doesn’t make his promos “horrible”. His mic skills have improved a lot over the months. But now the problem is that Vince McMahon is scripting some very bad promos for him. Can he do something in this situation? Not much, but he can surely try to do one thing, and that is try to deliver that promo in the best way possible and he certainly did that over the past few weeks.
In the promo below, Roman refered to some phrases used in a cartoon (according to the script that Vince wrote for him). Not only is this promo good, there was no delivery problem as well.
