2. Drew McIntyre Confronts The Undertaker

Drew McIntyre The Undertaker Face To Face WWE Extreme Rules 2019

The seeds for a potential Undertaker vs. Drew McIntyre feud were planted back in June when The Deadman saved Roman Reigns against Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. WWE also teased a feud between them by giving them a face-off moment during the No Holds Barred match at Extreme Rules.

There were reports that McIntyre is one of the wrestlers Taker wants to face before retiring. He reportedly hugged McIntyre backstage after their match at Extreme Rules.

Drew McIntyre was on a roll for the past couple of months. However, he lost to Ricochet in the King Of The Ring Tournament on the August 26th episode of RAW and went off TV. The reason why McIntyre got time off was that he had to undergo surgery due to an undisclosed medical problem.

Moroever, McIntyre was extremely sick before the injury was discovered but he continued to work until he was unable to get out of bed which was before his last appearance on RAW. The good thing is that he’s fully recovered and can return anytime now.

Tonight should be a good opportunity for WWE to set up the rumored McIntyre vs. Taker bout. They can continue from where they left off at Extreme Rules. With the Crown Jewel pay-per-view coming up in a couple of weeks, WWE will be looking for The Phenom’s opponent at the event, and who can be more deserving than McIntyre to face him.
