1. Rey Mysterio & Dominick Cost Brock Lesnar The WWE Championship Match
Brock Lesnar and Kofi Kingston will lock horns tonight for the second time ever. This time, the WWE Championship will be on the line. Lesnar and Paul Heyman showed up on SmackDown a couple of weeks ago to challenge the WWE Champion to a title match at SmackDown’s premiere on FOX which he accepted, like every other challenge.
Although the rivalry has been a short one, it has heated up quickly in these two weeks. Kingston had a sit-down interview with Michael Cole last week in which he made it clear that he would prove all odds wrong and beat The Beast Incarnate. He considers Lesnar just like every other challenger.
The Beast’s chances of winning the WWE Title are very high. However, what he did this week on RAW could prove to be a turning point in his match against Kingston.
The Beast showed up on RAW this past Monday to brutalize Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick, which was uncalled for. Lesnar only did so because he wanted to send the WWE Champion a strong message about their bout tonight.
There are chances that Rey and Dominick show up during the WWE Title match tonight to avenge what Lesnar did to them a few days ago.
WWE has been quite unpredictable with Kofi Kingston. This might be a way they can continue his title reign. Whenever the WWE Universe expects him to drop the title, he retains it. Tonight might just be the same case.
Mysterio attacking Lesnar may also set up a match between him and Lesnar at Crown Jewel which wouldn’t be a surprise as the Saudi Prince loves to see old school wrestlers compete.
