• 5 Upcoming Roman Reigns Plans That Won’t Sit Well With His Haters (Major Spoilers)

Roman Reigns defeated “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2018 to finally win the Universal Championship. Reigns & Lesnar are now the only men to hold both the Universal & WWE Championship.

“The Big Dog” is the “Face of WWE” and Vince McMahon obviously has huge things lined up for him. Let’s us take a look at these things:

5. The Monster Conqueror

Reigns is set to defend the Universal Championship against “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman inside Hell in a Cell tonight. Current plan is for Reigns to successfully defend his Title tonight by defeating Strowman.

It should be noted that Reigns is the only full time WWE Superstar who has pinned Strowman.

4. Top RAW Heels Are In For Some Tough Time

During his run as the Universal Champion, Reigns is expected to defeat most of the top RAW heels. These names include:

– Braun Strowman

– Drew McIntyre

– Dolph Ziggler

After Reigns is finished with Strowman, word going on is that Reigns will be having Universal Title feuds with McIntyre and then Ziggler.

3. The Big Dog vs. The Great One

According to the Fired Up podcast, WWE is currently planning The Rock vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35.

This is in accordance with the Dirty Sheets, who reported prior to SummerSlam 2018 that WWE officials are in talks with The Rock for a match at WrestleMania 35 and that the match would be The Rock vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Title if Rock agrees to return.

However, the plan now might be a little different. The plan prior to SummerSlam 2018 was for The Rock to capture the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2019 and then for Reigns to defeat The Rock for the Title at WrestleMania 35.

You can read our original report (via Dirty Sheets) that we posted prior to SummerSlam 2018 below:

– Kevin Owens somehow manages to defeat Braun Strowman to win the Money In The Bank contract at SummerSlam 2018.

– Owens cashes-in on Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2018 itself to win the Title and become the first ever two time Universal Champion.

– Owens will hold on to the Title for the rest of 2018.

– At Royal Rumble 2019, The Rock will face Kevin Owens and will defeat Owens to become the Universal Champion (similar to the what happened back in 2013 between him and CM Punk).

– At WrestleMania 35, The Rock will face Roman Reigns and will drop the Title to Reigns in what could be The Great One’s final match.

However, with WWE booking Reigns to capture the Universal Title at SummerSlam 2018, WWE might book The Rock to win the Men’s Royal Rumble 2019 match now to earn a World Title match at WrestleMania 35 and then go on to challenge Reigns.

The possibility of this plan happening looks strong at the moment as The Rock is currently the favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble 2019 match, according to early betting odds provided by Sky Bet.

2. 5th Straight WrestleMania Main Event

Reigns has main evented 4 WrestleManias in a row from 2015 to 2018:

WrestleMania 31 (2015) – vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

WrestleMania 32 (2016) – vs. Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

WrestleMania 33 (2017) – vs. The Undertaker

WrestleMania 34 (2018) – vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship

Word going on is that Reigns might as well main event his 5th straight WrestleMania in row if his opponent turns out to be The Rock (as we noted above).

1. Lengthy Universal Championship Reign

It’s almost clear now that Reigns is going to be the Universal Champion heading into WrestleMania 35. This means he’s going to defeat every challenger that comes in his path till then.

However, that’s not it. With current reports suggesting that it’s going to be Reigns vs. Rock at WrestleMania 35, he isn’t expected to drop the Universal Title at WrestleMania either as the plan for this match would obviously be for Reigns to defeat another huge name.

This means there’s a very strong possibility that Reigns’ Universal Title reign continues after WrestleMania 35.
