6 Things That Might Happen On Tonight’s RAW

RAW IS WAR

5. Promotion Of NXT’s Move To The USA Network

As we have noted before, NXT is set to move to the USA Network as a 2 hour live show on Wednesday nights soon.

Also, WWE is expected to make this move in September, which would be about a month before AEW debuts their TV show on TNT.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Vince McMahon wants to move NXT to the USA Network instead of FS1 in order to avoid losing to AEW in terms of viewership, as he believes WWE fans are more used to the USA Network than FS1:

“I was told why he wanted to go to USA — it’s not a money thing. It’s because he has a better shot at not losing.

He doesn’t wanna lose that battle, but the feeling is that like it’s better because wrestling fans are used to the USA Network, they’re not used to FS1 — UFC fans are used to FS1, but it’s not a station that they’re familiar with and this and that.

In theory you would think that should only matter for two or three weeks, but it actually does mean a significant amount.”

It should be noted that an episode of NXT aired on the USA Network back in 2017 and it drew 841,000 viewers.

WWE is expected to make an announcement regarding this today and they might follow it up with a promo for NXT moving to the USA Network on tonight’s RAW.
